The Association of Civil Engineering Students held a Thanksgiving Mass followed by a Testimonial ceremony for its newly Registered Civil Engineers from the BS Civil Engineering program who passed the November 2022 Civil Engineering Licensure Exam with a passing rate of 60.59%. The event was well attended by newly Registered Civil Engineers and was held on November 15 at the Amphitheater - 4th Floor, CEAFA Building of Batangas State University - Alangilan Campus.
A thanksgiving mass was held, presided by Rev. Fr. Ildefonso Dimaano, To convey sincere gratitude to the Lord above, all board exam passers attend the special Mass as they embark on their new life path. The ACES officer expresses gratitude to the masses by making offerings, this ceremony celebrates the lives of the engineers as they progress toward their goals. Looking back, this has been a memorable day as new engineers take their first steps into the engineering profession for which they have worked so hard over the years.
The time after the Thanksgiving mass break is used to provide meals for the license engineers. The Thanksgiving Mass and Testimonial are the two parts of the event that focuses on the most influential factor of the ceremony. As they celebrate their wonderful time in the venue, they take photos of each other as a keepsake as they become reunited in the prestige event. The host, Jomardel J. Constantino, and Kayessel Grace B. Binay set the tone for the second half of the event with an outstanding and energetic welcome. With an opening introduction to formally start the event, President of ACES organization Joshua Onin P. Olivenza opened the event by formally opening the event.
The sub-organization CEKAL leads the intermission number with a powerful and high-energy performance. And to end on a positive note, Engr. Oliver S. Dimailig is summoned to congratulate the passers because he wants individuals who completed the board exam to inspire others. He emphasizes the distinction between growth, progress, and success, as well as the need of all of us becoming civil engineers in the future in order to have a clear path and be an instrument of change. Professors from the Civil Engineering department congratulated the new Registered Civil Engineers on their exemplary performance.
Jomardel J. Constantino, the host, welcomes the newly registered civil engineer with 163 out of 269 takers and 60.59% passing rate. As they passed their board examination, they manifested their future success. Engineers have been interviewed, Engr. Thara G. Garcia, a former department student, is grateful for her success in the last board examination, and many Engineers send admiration to their professors in the department. Newly Registered Civil Engineers eagerly engaged in an icebreaker as the host asked questions pertaining to the board exam in an attempt to establish a relaxing atmosphere.
After passing the exam, the Testimonies of selected newly Registered Civil Engineers begin to commemorate their experience. Engr. Clemence Daniel P. Adame has been given the floor. He reflects his time in the Engineering program. His road has been tough as pressure piles up. Imagine the pressure he feels when he prioritizes his mental health as the advice he gives about having a support system with continuous learning.
Engr. Jerome R. Manzolim exudes confidence as he speaks and delivers his testimony. Regardless of the numerous hurdles he faces, he just relies on himself. His advice to April board exam takers is to relax, trust, and always pray. Engr. Thara R. Garcia encourages board exam review centers; having self-doubt is always a concern, but finding the correct study habits and finding people who motivate is a massive boost. Engr. Ria Anne Merylle B. Ilagan testifies and offers advice to future board exam takers. Many more testimonies have served as a bridge for people to remember their journey to passing the exam.
Following the testimonial, the host summons ACES President Joshua Onin P. Olivenza and faculty members from the Civil Engineering department to present certificates of achievement to the newly Registered Civil Engineers. In the stage, people are called up one by one to get their certificates. Following the certificate presentation, ACES President Joshua Onin Olivenza delivered the closing remarks, congratulating the Registered Civil Engineers for making our school proud during the recent Civil Engineering Licensure Examination for November 2022.
